Bob Millar

Bob served in the Regular Army with the Canadian Hussars, the Royal Canadian Dragoons and Lord Strathcona’s Horse in various postings in Canada, Germany and Cyprus and retired from the Regular Force in 1980. Thereafter he joined the Militia and successively commanded the King’s Own Calgary Regiment, Southern Alberta Militia District and Alberta Militia District; he was then Deputy Commander Land Force Western Area.

He led the Sharing Our Military Heritage Campaign from its outset until completion to expand and renovate the Museum building complex and ultimately helped raise over $25 Million for The Military Museums.
