Corporal Dustin Wasden

Corporal Dustin Roy Robert Joseph Wasden was born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan and was very proud of his Saskatchewan heritage. He joined the Canadian Forces in 2004 and was posted to 1 CER in Edmonton on completion of his Combat Engineer training.

Corporal Wasden was a dedicated husband and father, whose trademark was his ability to tell stories that always made his comrades laugh. He was a hardworking soldier who was proud to serve his country and strongly believed in his contribution to the mission in Afghanistan.

Kind and generous, Corporal Wasden was especially devoted to the children of Afghanistan. This was his first overseas assignment. He will be missed by his wife Shannon, his daughter Makayla, his mother Bonnie, his sister Ricki, as well as the rest of his family and friends.
