The Ortona Christmas Photo
The famous Ortona Christmas Dinner photo shown below, was taken in the courtyard of the Church of Santa Maria di Constantinopoli church in Ortona, Italy on 25 Dec 1943. Present are members of the Seaforth Highlanders, the Loyal Edmonton Regiment and the Three Rivers Regiment. Along with Ernie Bagstad, the other Seaforth Highlanders identified in the photo are: Private Harry Impey: upper-left, Sergeant Major Jock Gibson: top-row and Private William Challen, lower-right.
