Cecil and Durward Holmes
Durward enlisted in 1939 and joined the 23rd Anti-tank Battery, 2nd Canadian Division as a Gunner. He served the entire war in England due to a knee injury sustained while in training. He was discharged in 1945.
Cecil Holmes enlisted in 1940 and joined the 17th Light Anti-aircraft Battery, 3rd Anti-aircraft Regiment, 2nd Canadian Division. He was promoted to Staff Sergeant and landed in Normandy in July, 1944. He served with the 2nd Division during the Campaign in North-West Europe. He served until the end of the war and was discharged in 1946.
