Corporal Robbie Beerenfenger

Corporal Robbie Christopher Beerenfenger was born in Ottawa on 28 April 1974. The son of Ms Wilhelmina Koehler and Mr Daniel Roy, he enrolled in the Canadian Forces after graduating from high school. Robbie came to the 1st Battalion, The Royal Canadian Regiment 6 October 1997 and was employed in Bravo Company as a Rifleman and then in the Battalion’s Mortar Platoon and Reconnaissance Platoon.

Robbie deployed with the 1st Battalion in 1999-2000 for Operation Kinetic in Kosovo. Robbie was a loving husband and father, as well as a dedicated and professional soldier. He was described as always ready to take charge and give his all in battle by his peers. Robbie was attached to Para Company, 3rd Battalion Group for Operation Athena.

Corporal Robbie Beerenfenger is survived by his wife Tina and their three children, Mathew, Kristopher and Madison as well as his mother. He will be sorely missed by family and friends.
