Michel Lévesque Jr. was born 15 September 1982 at St-Jean-sur Richelieu, Québec. From a young age, Michel Jr. was passionate about hunting and fishing. At the age of 12, following a course in the operation of firearms, he began hunting with his father (deer, moose, bear, partridge and hare).
Very early, Michel Jr. demonstrated leadership qualities. He was a go-getter who did not back down from a challenge. Michel Jr. graduated from secondary school level 5 in 2000. He registered at the Collège Héritage (CEGEP) in Hull, Québec for a course in police technology where he stayed for only one day; he missed his family too much so he returned home.
He was hired by the Good Jack Organizaion to help young dropouts get into the work force or return to their studies. Michel Jr. returned to school and attended the agent's course in protection of fauna in the professional center of Mont-Laurier. He ended his course with high distinction and worked as an assistant for Zec Normandy, a hunting and fishing club.
Michel Jr. was a very hard working young man and always willing to help others. His ambition pushed him to do even better, and in September 2005, he announced to his family than he had enlisted in the army. He entered the recruiting school at St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, where he qualified first in his class.
In December 2005 he entered the base at Valcartier, Québec where he completed his basic training, once more first in his group, which led him to realize an old dream of being part of the famous Royal 22e. Following this, he qualified as a signaller and gunner. In March 2007 he left for training in Texas followed by a training course in Wainwright, Alberta. He left for Afghanistan on 27 July 2007.
In October 2007, he returned home for a vacation where he went hunting with his father and his sister. In early November 2007, he returned to Afghanistan. On 17 November 2007 Michel Jr. was killed when the armoured vehicle in which he was riding was hit by an improvised explosive device. Michel Lévesque Jr. is buried in the cemetery at Rivière-Rouge, in the area of Ste-Véronique (Québec).

Le 15 septembre 1982 à St-Jean-sur Richelieu (Québec) est né Michel Jr. Lévesque. Dès son jeune âge Michel Jr. était un passionné de la chasse et de la pêche. À l’âge de 12 ans il suit alors un cours de maniement d’arme à feu pour pouvoir chasser avec son père (chevreuil, orignal, ours, outarde, perdrix et le lièvre.)
Très tôt Michel Jr. démontrait des attitudes de meneur et de leader. Il était un fonceur qui ne reculait jamais devant aucun défi. Michel Jr. gradua du secondaire 5 en l’année 2000. Il s’inscrivait au cégep de Hull (Québec) pour un cours de technique policière ou il ne restait qu’une journée, il s’ennuyait trop de sa famille il revient à la maison.
Il est embauché pour les bons Jack organisme pour aider les jeunes décrocheurs à aller sur le marché du travail ou à retourner aux études. Michel Jr. retourne à l’école et suit un cours d’agent de protection de la faune au centre professionnel à Mont-LaurierIl termina son cours avec haute mention et travailla comme auxiliaire dans le Zec de Normandie.
Puisqu’il n’y avait pas d’ouverture dans ce milieu il allait donc travailler dans un magasin de chasse et de pêche. Michel Jr. était un jeune homme très travaillant et toujours prêt à aider les autres. Son ambition le pousse à faire encore mieux il annonce à sa famille qu’il s’enrôle dans l’armée. Le 11 septembre 2005 Michel Jr. entre à l’école de recrut à St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, où il se qualifie premier de sa promotion.
En décembre 2005 il entre à la base de Valcartier (Québec) où il termine sa qualification de soldat et son cours d’infanterie, encore une fois premier de son groupe, ce qui l’a amené à réaliser un vieux rêve de faire partie du célèbre R22R. Par la suite il se qualifie signaleur et canonnier.Au mois de mars 2007 il part pour un entraînement au Texas et par la suite un entraînement à Wainwright en Alberta. Il quitte pour l’Afghanistan le 27 juillet 2007.
Le 24 octobre 2007 il est de retour à la maison pour ses vacances où il va à chasse avec son père et sa sœur. Le 12 novembre 2007 vacances terminées on le reconduit à l’aéroport de Québec où il nous fait ses derniers adieux. Il retourne en Afghanistan. Le 17 novembre 2007 Michel Jr. est décédé alors que le véhicule blinder abord duquel il se déplaçait passa sur une bombe artisanale. Le soldat Michel Jr. Lévesque repose en paix au cimetière à Ville de Rivière-Rouge secteur de Ste-Véronique (Québec).
